How do you record music as ringtones for a motorola razr v3c?

i would like 2 know how u record music as ringtones.

1. Thats what i would like to know. I didnt even know you could do that. I do know i site where you can upload a song from your computer and apply it as a ringtone. It is free and all cingular does is charge me a download fee of no more than 50 cents:)

3. Most likely you'll need the Data Cable that hooks up to your PC from your Cell. It should most likely come with an Audio Editing Program so that you can edit whatever song you want to choose as your ringtone.
4. you can't record a music then put it as a ringtone the only way u can do that is to buy the data kit then you can put ringtones on your phone without buying it you can buy the data kit at your cell phone company.
5. Whether or not you can do this directly from your computer depends on your wireless provider. Verizon will not let you do this directly. I have to start with an MP3 file and create a ringtone using a part of that file with either "MP3 to ringtone gold", or "Ringtone Chop Shop" (Google either one for download links). Then I go to http://www.funformobile.com/pages/ringtone/uploadRingtone.php to upload the ringtone MP3 file to my phone. Doing it like this will charge a multimedia message for each file sent. That's still much better than buying the ringtones.
