how can i use the prgram: BitPim, to make ringtones for the LGVX8500 phone?

hey can someone please tell me how to use the prgram: BitPim, from bitpim.org to make ringtones for the LGVX8500 phone? I read on a review on amazon.com, that you can use BitPim to make mp3 ringtones. i bought the LGVX8500 phone also known as the chocolate phone from verizon, and i can trasnfer songs and such, but i wanted to know how i can use this program or any other program to make my songs into ringtones. thanks :)
