  1. I always use Sony Soundforge to edit my ringtones. Best, you can save your work as mp3
  2. Download Cool Edit Pro 2.0. its a free 21 day trial (better than nothing) then use this link for an easy tutorial... http://community.webshots.com/album/345870817GpQIHk
  3. Your mobile should have a voice recorder so record the stuff you want then if you're mobile is capable to do so, set it as your ringtone. Or see if your mobile service has something called real tones or something like that you could download otherwise you are doomed!
  4. Use a program called BitPim http://www.bitpim.org/ it allows u to create ringtones using songs u have. U decide where it stops and where it ends and the ringtone can b as long as u want that is if ur phone has enough memory for like a whole song. U can also make the ringtone louder than what it really is(this is useful if u want a loud ringtone or if one of the songs is quieter than it's supposed to b The program is free and also allows u 2 back up ur contacts create wallpapers, retrieve pics, video, ringtones, sounds, ur calendar and much more from ur phone if u have a data cable. When u install it there will b a BitPim folder in My Documents and u can find the file u created. I suggest getting a data cable, they're only lik 8 bucks on eBay including shipping that way u can do more than just get free ringtones. If u do get a data cable u'll need a driver, here's a website to download some http://www.mobilesandpdas.com/cables/
  5. mp3trimmer ,free software
  6. I don;t know any new programs on the market but I just usually go for the simple ones. I always use my nero which has a mudio editor and cut it and make ringtones.
