HELP ! LG CHOCOLATE 8600..?

hey well i have an lg chocolate 8600. i was wondering how i can get ringtones onto it i have the sd card reader and sd card and i know how to transfer pics from my comp to the phone but i cant do the ringtones. if i put it into the my music folder on the sd card it goes into my mp3 player list. how do i make it into a ringtone?! thanks bunnchess.
