Download totally free ringtones

how to create ringtones on itunes 9?

i did the steps to making free ringtones, but later to find out that only works in itunes 8. if i use a website, the download plays it on quicktime player and i dont know how to save that onto my phone as a ringtone. btw i have an iphone 3gs. help please?
