Samsung A737 Ringtone Or any Ringtone Help?

I have a Samsung A737 phone. I bought a micro SD card to put mp3s and what not so I can make them ringtones. Well when I did the option of Set As>>Ringtone did not appear it works with pictures. So I cut it down into a 30 second clip still doesnt not show that option I even copy the file into the phone still doesnt show the option. How can I make my 30 second mp3 into a ringtone? I know the pre-set ringtone file format was .mmf maybe it has something to do with that?

1. The tone format has nothing to do with it, The ringotne feature is BLOCKED by your carrier and they want you to buy them instead.
