Using a microsd card?

I was able to figure out how to get the songs onto my microsd card and into my phone. I was wondering if it is possible to make those mp3 songs into ringtones. Does anyone know how to take songs off the microsd card and make them into a ringtone?

The best way I have found to do it is to find a song you like, then download a free editing software like wavepad, edit the song into about a 25 second segment, save it, then put it on your microsd card. then you can text it to yourself and save it as ringtone, and walla, youve got a custom ringtone. It sounds difficult but really, its not. you can also go to a website like funformobile.com and get ringtones for free off of there. Its pointless to try to do a whole song as a ringtone though becuase itll only play for 25 seconds or so when somebody calls you.
