How can I convert music into ringtones?

So I just got a new phone and I really wanna convert some of my songs into ringtones and put them on a memory card and onto my phone. Thing is I dont know how to convert it so that I can set it as a ringtone. Help?

2. yes VENTONES the best free site/ you can make any ringtone you want for free, and if you dont have an mp3 file, you can just use a Youtube video, its so easy because you can find any song in the world on Youtube
3. Ok, first, your going to have to break your song up into a smaller file. So use this site called cellsea.com to make your own ringtone... It's absolutely free, all you do is create a account, go to ONLINE TOOLS, then click ringtone maker. ONce you've downloaded the ringtone, depending on what files your Phone can play is going to determine what your converting. If the ringtone you made is a mp3 and your phone only plays wma or something , then your going to need a converter to get it to that file. there's a website called http://media-convert.com/ all you have to do is upload your song, and pick the output that you need it to be in. once you've got the correct file type, just simply put your memory card in the computer, and transfer the songs over.
