How do you upload ringtones onto your phone?

So, I found a site where you can get ringtones onto your computar, but now that there here on my computar how do I get them onto my phone? I have this little thing on my cell where I can upload pics ONTO my computar but I dont know if this could help at all. Do you know anything about this?

1. to transfer them from computer to your phone you need to use usb cord or through bluetoooth.
2. i am using ventones which is a site in which you upload a song, choose 20 sec. of it, us that as your ringtone. it is free.
