How do I download free ringtones to my verizon phone?

I have a motorla A840 phone with Verizon wireless. I went to numerous online sites, but they said that Verizon has prohibited ringtones from being sent. I tried to attach it to an email and send it, but Verizon removed the attachements. How can I download free ringtonesto my phone?

7. you can make your own if you want. have you tried using the voice recorder of your phone, i've done it on my tmobile but dunno if it will work with verizon.. well, it's worth a try.. also if you have regular mp3 songs, you can convert it using audacity and transfer it to your phone from your PC.
