how do you transfer ringtones to your cell phone from your computer?

i have a razr that is unlocked. so the internet does not work. i also don't have text messaging. is there any way i can get ringtones on my phone. i do have a mini usb cable that connects my phone to my computer. do i need a program? i don't believe my computer has bluetooth. i'm super confused, please help.

I have a razr and I figured this out. The USB cable is only good for charging the phone (unless maybe you get the right driver). I looked for hours online and came up empty. What I ended up doing is getting a bluetooth dongle (usb) for my computer. It was under $20 at tigerdirect. Then I networked the phone using bluetooth (not too hard). Then I was able to upload ringtones using windows explorer and 'My Bluetooth Places' Good luck!
Yes, you do need the software load in Pc so you can transfer from PC to your phone by using mini USB cable. For text messaging, i have problem probably a little different than your, i can't send text message fron my cell to my yahoo mail, don't know because we bought phone not from the provider????? or maybe the setup of the phone, but Ican received text message from yahoo mail to my cell... Good luck !
1 of my friends has a razor & she went under the recorder and recorded the ringtone she wanted & figured out how to set it as her, well, ringtone. hope this helps.
