Download totally free ringtones

How do i download free ringtones to my lg ax 565 for alltel?

I just bought the phone. I can't figure out how to download ringtones that people sent me or from on line sites like myxer. They are on my phone, but they are showing up as audio files, and I can't switch them to ringtones.

3. Yes myxer has a website that will do it for you. There are tons of sites that can send the ringtones to your phone. They can charge monthly fees but they have sign up bonuses for like 15 ringtones. I wonder if you can signup and just cancel after the free ones are downloaded. hehe. I'm kidding. don't do that. lol
