Download totally free ringtones

Is it possible to Download Free Ringtones for my cellphone?

If so how? and how do I get them on my phone. Lots of people have told me that you can do this, but not HOW to do it or if it's safe getting them off the internet etc. They'r just so darn expensive to upload them from a cell phone browser.

5. I don't like to put my cell numbers to sites to get a ringtone...what I do is go on limewire or frostwire and download the ringtones from there and hook my phone on to my computer. It's much safer to me...but if you don't have a those phones that can hook on to ur computer then I you can try those sites...
6. well you can always do a search on yahoo.com for the free ringtones and you will get tons of sites that will give you free ringtones. But keep in mind that when you download ringtones from sites that send you a wap link or send the tone directly to your phone as an mms/sms then you will end up paying for the tone. Well the tone itself is free, but to download it on your phone you would have had to use the internet on the phone and/or the data plan, as such that same tone would end up costing you. The better "FREE" way of doing it would be is to download the tones to your computer and then transfer them to your phone using a usb cable or bluetooth.
