How can I make the songs on my verizon phone into a ringtone?

Some of the songs I listen to are not available as ringtones, and I would love to have them as ringtones. How can I get the songs on my phone to become ringtones? I have verizon wireless, and I have text messaging blcoked.

1. VENTONES(.com) you can use that site to make any ringtones you want for FREE. Without texting you will have to buy a cable or a data card reader to transfer the file to your phone
2. i guess you need to convert it first to the format your phone support but you need to to this on your PC. also make sure you do it to the right length of the ringer, for i know there's limitation how long will it be, and you need program to convert, you can use audacity, just download it from the web, it's an open free source program.
