i was wondering is there anyway you can get free ringtones on your cell with out having to make them your self

1. yes theirs a safe website that i use it's called (myxer.com) you have to sign up though but it's free and has no charges and you can look up or make any ringtone you want if you have internet on ur phone then you should be ok.
2. If you have software for your phone contact me , I know how to... But you have to have the software and data cable

Yes if you have mp3 songs on your computer, and you have the datacable for the phone, or once your phone have bluetooth and the computer has bluetooth too, you can simply send them to your phone and listen to it on your phone. If you have a Sony Ericcson or Motorolla phone you don't need the phone software to do this, However nokia and a few other model require the phone software.
