Free ringtones: Does it use air time?

Hi, sorry this is so late but, im trying to get free ringtones, but i dont want to make a mistake because last time my bill went up, and my mom said if it goes up again then shes taking it away permanently and disconnecting it so there cant be a single chance that my bill is higher than usual. Any who, Lets say i use Myxertones and it sends a song to my phone, via text, and i download it, will that use air time, if so, is that the same for every single Free ringtone thing-y

1. if you have sprint and go on the internet with out unlimeted internet access.. then yeah it will use up air time.. but not if you're texting/ sending it to yourself
2. ventones is my favorite free ringtone site. The short answer is, if you have unlimited messaging and internet, its 100% free, if you don't it depends on your carrier.
