- There are several ways to transfer music to a cell phone: 1. Via Internet by downloading from your providers service. 2. From a computer, using a usb cable, etc. Try this website, its free and allows you to transfer songs to your phone. You also have the ability to take a mp3 from your computer and transfer it into a song for your cell phone. Just need to know your service provider, and model of phone. http://www.mobile17.com
- Verizon, as well as most cellular carriers have the phone's firmware programmed to disable the use of ringtones not purchased from them. Depending on your phone model there is a way around this. First you must make the tone into a MP3 file. But save it as an MID file. (ringtone.mp3 = ringtone.mid). Then get it on your phone. One way to do this is to email it as a text message attachment. Another way is to use a usb cable or a memory card. To get around the firmwares disabling, send the file as a text message to some random number. It will show up in your 'sent' folder as not being able to be delivered. Then you can save the attachment as a ringtone. Sound complicated but it really isnt. This will work for most phones but if you do some research on your specific model you can find more help.
