Download totally free ringtones

How can I make my own ringtones for my Verizon LG Chocolate?

I want to put mp3 files that I made with audacity onto my phone, a verizon wireless lg chocolate, as a ringtone.

1. Well, I personally would try an MP3 converter.but..I can't help you out there...but how I do it is I use BitPim for my LG phone from verizon. Just go to bitpim.org and download it. and download a free mp3 converter from downloads.com and convert the songs I want. install bitpim. and you can get free ringtones like that : ) thats how I do it. Hope that helps some!!
2. you need to clip them down first before you can use them as ringtone, i use audacity or bitpim to make my own ringtones. but if i want fast i go online for ringtones.
3. this is what i do for my verizon phone, and this is the absolute best method because i dont have to download any programs or pay for ringtones, ever I go to Ventones its a free ringtone sharing community. I make my ringtone, and download it to my computer. Then i use my usb data card reader to put the ringtone on my memory card. Then i simply text it to myself, and when i get it, I set as ringtone Works like magic.
