Download totally free ringtones

how do i take sounds saved on my cell phone and make them into ringtones?

i have a Verizon CDM8945VW phone. and I want to change some of the sounds i have saved into ringtones. is there anyway to do this? I've tryed messaging it to myself, but there is no option on my phone to save it as a ringtone

1. send them to ur cell # and when you get it, press the little menu button and press save as ringtone.
