How would I get free ringtones?

I have a problem with myxer.com and i scrolled through the comments about the verizon messages that the owners posted and I found this. "Here’s what I’ve been doing until this problem gets fixed. . . I changed my default SMS address setting to my actual email address myname@yahoo.com. I then go to my email. and my ringtones/wallpapers ARE there. . . Then I just forward them to mynumber@vzwpix.com" I don't know what SMS is. Could someone please help me out there thanks a lot. I just need someone to tell me what a SMS is. I use myxer.com and thats it just tell me what SMS is
