How do you add downloaded ringtones (or full songs) into an LG Shine (model 8700)?

Basically I got a new cell phone the other day (the LG Shine 8700 from Telus) and I can't seem to find how to using a Micro SD card transfer ringtones/full songs onto the cell phone to play as a ringtone. However I can transfer full songs into the Telus Music thing perfectly and play them perfectly. Any ideas? I think it's something to do when I plug the micro SD card into my card reader...cause the only folders available are; media, My Sounds, My music, My Pictures and My Videos. Nothing to do with Ringtones.. (I tried putting it into My Sounds but it didn't work) Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

1. first of all, u need to make them a smaller file size to play as ringtones, some phones block bigger files so that you can't play them as ringtones. On my phone I cut the mp3 files into 30 second clips by using the site Ventones try that
