verizon phone~ nonverizon ringtones? (u740)?

I know it's possible to get non-verizon ringtones on my samsung u740, but is it possible to have them set to a specific contact? For some reason my phone wont let me do that. It keeps saying 'set as default' even though i've set it to a non-verizon one-It's never worked. please help. would anyone know, if i go to the verizon store will they be able to fix it??? thanks.

1. probably not, that is phone specific. check your manual or go into the store to ask if that is possible. you can use the free site Ventones to get or make free ringtones also
