I have a Motorola Sliver How do I put Music On It?

I bought it off a friend, he no longer has what ever cds came with it if any, i pretty sure its an L7 cause in the back behind the batterey it say L7, how do you put music on it, it cant be itunes compatable cause i have the latest version of it and it dose not recognize it, i even tried Window Media Player, it recognizes it but when i put a song in it i checked the phone and the song was not there, unless im looking in the wrong place on the phone. i went to media and then sounds and it just had the default ringtones, i have a 64mb memory card and it is a cingular phone. please help thanks...Also i know there is free memory space on it cause i erased everything he had on the phone. is there something from Motorola that i have to install or what, thanks.

1. Yes, you most likely need the cd... go to a phone shop and ask if they have the cd compatable with the model. the same happened to me and the cd didn't actually say it was compatible with my model, but it worked anyway. just keep asking around, you'll find the right one.
