How to play my mp3 ringtones on my Nokia 6300?

I have a nokia 6300 not the best phone but does the work for me....i wanted to download some ringtones and message alerts but some how it doesn't read those files...i downloaded .WAV and .MP3 ....i found out the ringtones that came with the phone in the same format work fine but if i download it, it doesn't work......any suggestions if not please tell me how to convert mp3 files into wav or other formats such as midi thanks a lot

1. try uploading your own mp3 to a free ringtone site like Ventones that's what i do for my nokia, and it always works, never had any problems. And its free. After you upload your mp3, you can make a ringtone.
