Download totally free ringtones

Downloading free ringtones.. how does it work?

I'm unclear as to how to download these ringtones from websites. Does it cost any money to recieve it through your phone? I've just been told that it isn't completely free and was wondering exactly how the whole process goes.

  1. well, ive been downloading free ringtones for a month , and believe me, its not a big deal(all free mind you!)i use www.mymp3tone.com to download the tones from their huge archive, and the site lets me create my own tones there as well.its secure, as tehy dont take your number anywhewre in the process, and its through WAP, so dependable as well.the instructions are on the site, easy to follow.
  2. Carriers always get their piece of the pie. Phone Sherpa http://www.phonesherpa.com maintains solid carrier relationships because we don't try to skirt carriers. I use T-Mobile with my Razr v3. With my package plan (this is an increasing trend with carriers) I get like 5 free text messages. However, after using those freebies, they start charging for text messaging. So, even if I send myself a ringtone link via messaging, T-Mobile will charge me (like 15cents or something).
