how do i make my sounds as ringtones on my cell phone for free?

I have a LG chocolate phone, and i heard that u could make your sounds as a ringtone but she has a razr. So how do i make a sound as a ringtone on my LG chocolate phone? plz help. & if there's a way to make my music as a ringtone, tell me. oh, and yea, i have a LG chocolate ubs cable for the chocolate. ---i can't really send a txt messege cuz i didnt get it when i got my plans and stuff. & my parents said i dont need it so i guess wat eve. plz give me the step by step

1. Hi, I dont have a LG choclate phone but I know the company stuff really well.I have to tell u I used to have that phone i dont think you can do it. SORRY BUT IF U WANT THAT GET A BETTER PHONE!!!

You can use Audacity to make ringtones out of your mp3's and BitPim to transfer them to the phone.BitPim can do both but I prefer Audacity for the effects such as Fade in.I have been using this method without any problems but if something goes wrong you should know that using BitPim could void your warranty.
