Phone help!? On my phone, I want to get some more ringtones, and when I go to upgrade VZW Tones (it won't let me do anything otherwise), it gives me the message, "Unable to retrieve catalog. Please try again later. (1281)" It does that when I try to get a new application too. It's been doing that for about 6 months now, and I could just email ringtones to my phone for free, but my phone doesn't let me use sounds as ringtones. What should I do? And, no, my parents didn't shut it off. We all have the same family plan, and anyway, I'm 19. It's cheaper to have a plan with my parents and I pay for anything that would cost extra, so there's no need to shut it off anyway. I already asked her about it, and she is experiencing the same difficulties.
I have a Motorola Sliver How do I put Music On It? I bought it off a friend, he no longer has what ever cds came with it if any, i pretty sure its an L7 cause in the back behind the batterey it say L7, how do you put music on it, it cant be itunes compatable cause i have the latest version of it and it dose not recognize it, i even tried Window Media Player, it recognizes it but when i put a song in it i checked the phone and the song was not there, unless im looking in the wrong place on the phone. i went to media and then sounds and it just had the default ringtones, i have a 64mb memory card and it is a cingular phone. please help thanks...Also i know there is free memory space on it cause i erased everything he had on the phone. is there something from Motorola that i have to install or what, thanks.
Does Phonezoo.com really work? It's not a website that says it's free and then you end up getting charged later do you?? So all you have to pay for are the text messages sent & recieved and the internet usage...so basically it's better than buying ringtones from the company you're with? like sprint..at&t verizon..ect. ???
WHat should my friend do? My friend did something really stupid (hey, we're teens, right?).......... He kept on downloading stuff on his cell phone (must've thought it was all free), and his parents got pissed, because his aunt was paying all his phone bills, and didn't know where to get the money from! I mean typical teenager stuff, you know? Games on the phone, text, calls for hours on end, ringtones, and whatnot. This time around, he says he doesn't want to get into something he's not too sure of and regret it later. He's learned his lesson. He wouldn't have anything to do with anything that has subscriptions. Now, he needs to go on writersmarket.com for one of his classes, and it has a subscription! He says his grades are important, but that he doesn't want to jump into it unless he's sure!
Mobile phones, what is the point? I regularily see people in various place answering mobile phones, yesteday I was in the queue in Sainburys, phone rings and woman lifts out flash looking phone ans answers " I'm in Sainsburys see you a bit later". The other day a woman next to me on the train was using her expensive looking mobile phone to talk about Eastenders. I see in the adverts that some of these things cost £25 a month, and more, with an 18 month contract. Thats £450 for a load of " I'm in Sainsburys" conversations. Then there is the cost of ringtones that all the kids must have. I can understand someone having one of these phones if given free with a job but who is mug enough to pay for a thing that costs loads to carry out junk conversations and screams " mug me" to all the thieves on the street. I have a cheap mobile phone, cost £20 including £5 airtime, which I kep in the boot of my car in case I break down. It gets recharged every 6 months. Message is sell junk= make profit. I am delighted that so many of you think paying £450 over 18 months to use a phone is necessary. Right now my daughter is earning loads of commission selling phones. I just avoid these shops.
